XD That's actually a pretty good idea. I mean, honestly, we could make it a feature or something.
"noobpires I've Seen"
Small n, of course, to emphasise bad grammar &c.
Edit: Actually, the original "Interview" title was better. Much better. Punnier. Erm, funnier.

Yes, I think we do need interviews for those deadset or serious on playing a vampire...
I think we need to put a note in the opening text of the dream. "No New Vampires until Further Notice" or something like that...

Interviews are fine and everything.. but think for a moment. Who's going to do them?? It is a great idea and I completely agree. However, interviews are always a nuisance and never tend to work smoothly... at least in my experience. But, anywho... *throws a cabbage at surrealist* "oops..."

*throws a tomato at Miles*
For the record, I had to put a similar limit on the occupants of my dream (Cordell Academy), except it was for homosexuals instead of vampires. Same scenario, too. They just kept converting each other and it seems like the ratio will never be the same again. :/ For another record, I'm not homophobic. Soph can tell you, right darling?

I can! n.n But it was pretty crazy there for a while. I think we have gotten back to a ratio of at least...um...2:3. We had to put a limit on Asians too. (And guess what I played! a gay Asian... n.n But to my credit I was one of the first people to join, before it was a problem) I never realized how much that situation was like the vampires, what with 'converting'. Anyway, back to the subject of how to implement this, does anyone have ideas? So far I'm thinking, vampires be required to actually send in the joining application. Right now it's sort of optional, you can RP here without having done it, but maybe for vampires it could be required? I don't know. Actual realtime interviews -can- get troublesome, so it may be best to avoid those unless they're completely necessary. Someone would have to have the job of checking them out, and having done a similar thing in the past for another dream I can tell you it really isn't fun at all. n.n

Athenais, if you're reading this, I still am insistant that we put a warning in the dream entry text...

I wouldn't mind doing interviews, but would that be weird for a non-vampire to be doing it....?

I wouldn't mind helping you out, Odette. I find myself trolling for vampires anyway, so we could probably get something figured out...

I also would be more than happy to help with interviews. One of my alts here is a vampire (Caelestius asked me to play one), so I know the drill.
Also, I've noticed another problem: Elves, Nekos, Drows, and other mythical creatures seem to be coming here and RPing. Weren't only vampires and humans (and moi) allowed to RP here? Just the other day, I saw about 4 people NOT part of the continuity, who were NOT either a human or vampire, AND RPing. Maybe you can put something in the entry text, or give certain trusted people share to warn these people, and if they continue, eject them.
Sorry about my complaining, but I do not want my RP or the RP of others to be ruined by these ignorrant people who think that they can just come in here and RP as if no one cares.

Another problem is that not everyone reads the entry text. I've had many problems with this in all of my dreams. (Ask for only humans and end up with vamps, hideous moster things, and gods) But, at least you have the grounds to eject them when they don't follow the rules in the entry text after you warn them.

Oi, I agree there is a problem. I have my carries specifically carry guns for the vampire problem. A limitation would be nice.
