I would play her role, but I have little knowledge of Christine. Alas.

I would...but I have enough problems right now! I've got a skittish orphan and a nervous swordsman to deal with, not to mention Arcelia trying to make up for whatever she feels she's done to Broschi to make him mad at her...

I wouldn't even dare; my RPing skills aren't up high enough for me to be trusted with a high maintenance role like that. And even if they were, school's coming! And...you know. Stuff. =D

I wouldn't dare either - my RPing is sub-par, and when I was reading Phantom, Christine didn't have a single scene in which I didn't want to strangle her. e.e

Well its possible to stay close to the character but make them dynamic.

Only if there's a decent grain to work with. Maybe there is, we don't know! But you have to keep in mind: this girl is Insane. Actually, genuinely, mentally disturbed. Same with the Phantom, for that matter. I think Raul is the sanest of the lot...and I don't know if that's saying much.

It's good to see other people who want to strangle Christine ^^

You only say that because you want to eff him, and Christine who could have, didn't.

With any original character played, its possible to stay close to the MATERIAL but make them dynamic.
In fact, thats what usually happens.
so anyway.......
I really have nothing against Christine, or Raoul, and certainly not Erik.

Actually, Christine was pretty kickass in Leroux's Phantom. ALW makes her look like an idiot. He's who you should all blame.

I still dislike book Christine. I REALLY hate musical Christine. Book Raoul was ok. Musical Raoul is...just...a goober...
And OMG surprise surprise I love Erik no matter what! <3

Actually, book/Raoul was the biggest baby in the world! I think he cried more than Christine. Book/Christine wasn't so bad. She was tougher on the inside and made the choice to go with Erik to save everyone, but Erik let her go with Raoul, but if she had the choice from the beginning, it would have been Raoul. I'm sure you all would've done the same back then if a crazy disfigured madman kidnapped you, lied to you, nearly kills someone close to you, and attempts to blow up the entire opera house.
Ok. Here is my opinion on the best of each character: Book - Christine (musical Christine I wanted to kill from the start) Musical - Raoul (he was that swashbuckling hero who didn't cry in the musical) Both - Erik (he's crazy and evil in both, and I looooove him. <3)

I can't really remember much about book Raoul...I only read the book once and I didn't pay much attention to him. Oh, and wasn't Raoul crying during "Past the Point of No Return?"
