Well, frankly I have no idea. Since Arsenius has been busy lately, the spot is still open. Perhaps it could cause some great RP tension between Erik and Demitri, were Christine to come back.

There has to be -someone- who has read the book and seen some other phantom stuff...who is familiar with the character...
But if there was....someone.....they would have to...most likely be brought in from elsewhere, as no one seems up to the challenge of it.
which once again, suprises the crap out of me.

I'm not shocked >_>
After talking to other people, it seems that the more different Christines you see the more you hate her. I'm sure this isn't true for some people, but all the people I've talked to (including myself) who have read the book AND seen atleast 2 of the movies hate Christine.
It seems like everyone cried more in the book, including Erik.

Well I don't hate Christine.
And I know plenty of people who don't hate Christine.
Most people who hate Christine, from the book too, are usually people who fancy Erik so much that they hate her for refusing him.
These group of people are usually, but not limited to, Mary Sues.

Truth be told I don't really hate Christine, it's just that if I were her I would have made different choices. I don't neccesarilly mean I would have chosen Erik (though I might have), but I think she sort of lead him on. She let him believe she loved him. That's what I hate.

I think you're generalizing. Some of us may hate Christine for her own character. Go back and read the the messages here of people who didn't want to play Christine here - do we seem like people who are that in love with the Phantom either? I'm just speaking for myself here but I think it applies to quite a few of us. I have just as many problems with Mary Sues as you do, which is why I don't want to be put in the same category as them.

That's what I hate. n the book, she tried to bash her head into the wall to commit suicide when he kidnapped her. Maybe its just me, but I don't find that a symbol of any type of love, or even be classified as leading him on. And I am talking about the book so..yes To Soph: Thats why I said, not limited to. I have heard valid arguements against the character, and thats perfectly fine, and I know where you are coming from. Sorry if I put you in that classification by...how...I worded it. Anyway I'm a biatch who got way off topic. Sorry. D:

hah, I mean before the head bashing. But, unfortunately, I only read the book once, and I have a horrible memory, so I'm probably very wrong. Maybe she didn't lead him on, BUT when you take lessons from some strange man and address him as an angel I think you're asking for trouble.
But in the movie I do think she was leading him on...

Well, in the book she told Erik that she loved him and all that jazz and was so sincere that he didn't keep her from seeing Raoul. He even let her "pretend" that she and Raoul were engaged because Erik wanted Raoul to be as happy as he was or something like that. In the end she dismissed him and made it pretty clear that she wasn't in love with him which understandably ticked him off. Personally I think she should have managed to dispatch herself and done both the lead males a favor, not because I'm in love with Erik, just because she was such a manipulative pregnant dog.
I think the movie Christine was more just a shallow moron that anyone too vindictive.

Christine -did- care for Erik on some level....but she was scared as hell of him....But she was tough sh.it...but...
Okay now I understand why no one wanted to play Christine. Too damn hard.
FORGET IT.
FORGETITAAAAAAAAALL.

I'm just amused that she tried to kill herself by smashing her head against the wall. I didn't know it could be lethal, when self-applied.
I'll read the book, I suppose, when I can find a non-craptacular translation.
